We too experienced the wrath of Mother Nature that day on our uncertain and frightening journey(how's that for interjecting a bit of Dark Shadows in to this story ;))out to the Bay Shore Ferry located on the farthest reaches of Long Island. Either by the drawing of straws or just plain vote of hands, I can't recall right now, "I" was elected to be the driver that day. Lucky Me!! It was raining so hard on that drive that you really couldn't see more then 10 feet in front of the Love Boat.(aptly named for this excursion) At times it seemed like the car was hydroplaning as I navigated the 3806 pound vehicle east on the rain soaked Long Island Expressway. If not for the courage of the fearless crew the...........oops wrong story. :) Anyway, we did eventually make it to Bay Shore and the Fire Island Ferry, where, as Mark as already indicated, he saw our arrival from the window of the local bar. Now I'll let him pick up where he left off on this story.................. Bobubashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15367589861110438822noreply@blogger.com
