Baby, You Can Drive My Car — Redux

Got up this morning and headed to Ferrum, VA, where I went to college in the late 70s. There's a beautiful hiking trail through the mountain forest there, and it turned out to be a warm, sunny day for hunting caches. Found them, of course, but as I've said before, you never know what other kinds of things are lurking out on the trail....

What you might expect to see on a mountain trail: trees and some dude

So...did it follow you home? By the way, found this by catching the note on Twitter. Wonderful tool that...

I'll have to check out Twitter a bit further. I just started because I keep seeing it referenced here and there -- partly on your blog. Ve shall see vat ve shall see.

It did not follow me home. It actually gave me a bit o' the creeps, though, because when I was in college there a couple of guys I know were murdered -- in almost that very spot. Stuffed in their car and set on fire they were. Drug deal gone bad, apparently. This was obviously not that vehicle, but it sure brought that episode to mind.

Now memories like that would have given me the creeps so bad, I'da hiked back out lickety-split. I'm glad you were able to get past it and enjoy the day!

I gather you'd not be surprised to learn that it's events such as these -- especially when I have personal recollection of them -- that help get the old creative juices flowing. ;)
